Police Report to Debenham Parish Council

October 07

PCSO Chris Bales informed the meeting that there had been two reported crimes within the last month, one theft and one harassment type crime.

An informal gathering of some 40 youngsters from as far afield as Ipswich had been anticipated and dispersed by an increased Police presence and prevented from holding a party at the lakes. All were issued with Dispersal Orders and it is thought unlikely that they will return to the village in the future.

The Police would however be very grateful to receive any knowledge of similar planned events in order that the necessary enforcement can be brought in. PCSO Bales urged that people come forward to give statements of any suspected criminal activity. Unfortunately unless the Police have written statements they are unable to act to combat problems. This is proving very frustrating to the Neighbourhood team who are very passionate about our community.

All statements taken will be treated with the utmost confidentiality! So please do come forward.
